The Level One program at London Eyes is the first step towards a
career as a Makeup Artist. This course is an introduction to the art of makeup techniques and
prepares the student for entry-level work. Once Level One is completed, the student may begin their
journey in a salon, spa, cosmetic company/retailer, or as a freelance wedding/event artist.
The course starts by learning proper hygiene standards and sanitation, skin basics (structure,
types, care), corrective and camouflage makeup, color theory (skin tones, shade, undertone), and
base matching. Once the students master the first lessons, they will move on to brows (shaping,
grooming, and defining), cheek color, highlighting and contouring, day and evening makeup looks,
and bridal makeup techniques.
A Certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the course. Once
this 1st level course is completed, the student is allowed to advance to the 2nd level or Special
Effects programs at London Eyes.
